HISTORY OF THE COPAIBA

A tree found in lush rainforests, Copaiba balsam has been used for ages in South American folk wellness practices. Over the centuries, natives of the Amazon have called upon copaiba to support skin health. The balsam is incorporated into cosmetics and perfumes. Welcoming, woody and sweet, the fragrance of copaiba balsam lingers pleasantly, making it a wonderful addition to any aromatherapy collection. 

The Amazon Rainforest is the world's most outstanding natural, most powerful, and bio-actively resource for various products such as
cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients. Yet it is still being destroyed for short-term profits - mostly harvesting
unsustainable resources like timber, cattle, and agriculture.
As an expression of traditional knowledge and livelihood option for forest communities, the gathering and using non-timber forest products such as seeds, resins, and herbs is a crucial component of sustainable forest management promoting the conservation of the Amazonian Rainforest.

With the change in the environmental conditions and the deterioration of the habitat, it is better to probably look for organic options whether it is about buying fruits & vegetables or about choosing your favorite essential oils as it is indeed a fact that essential oils are highly concentrated liquids, and in this concentration, pesticides are also used included in the formulation and manufacturing.
